Introduction to the iMod platform

IMod it's series of an innovative and powerful platform for modern automation systems, telemetry and remote monitoring. It consists of NPE computer and special software to control and monitor equipment and record data.




The heart iMod is efficient ARM9 RISC processor, which together with large pools of memory, and Linux gives you unlimited possibilities of applications.

The iMod platform has been designed in such a way as to make it possible to add additional channels (protocols or application logic) as plug-ins. TRM series devices are an example of this particular feature.

Such an implementation of dedicated protocols ensures that the application works in an orderly manner based on one coherent system. The base functions realized by iMod are:

• data retrieval from NPE interfaces or external devices using the Modbus protocol, MBus or other
• caching of accumulated data with an optional data logger feature
• sharing of data for monitoring systems such as SCADA, or other devices like iMod or PLC, in a continuous or event mode

with Linux. This means that by using the terminal, it is possible to manage devices in a manner consistent with other devices or computers, based on the Linux system. The iMod device also provides set of standard Linux services such as FTP, SSH, SQL, IPTABLES, WWW and so on.
